Functions of ribonucleic acids
The functions of RNAs can be summarized in three:
- Transcription: The enzymes ARNpolimerasas synthesize a sequence of nucleotides of messenger RNA complementary to the nitrogenous bases of a gene (DNA nucleotide sequence information to synthesize a protein). This mRNA with genetic information from DNA will go to the cytoplasm to the ribosomes.
