10.2.1. The need for DNA replication

Need for DNA replication

As living beings are not eternal, so that the species does not become extinct, there must be a time when they reproduce. In order to originate these individuals, it is necessary for them to pass copies of the DNA of the parent or parents (if they are formed by the union of gametes) to their offspring. Exceptionally, only some viruses contain the genetic information in the form of RNA.
