Diseases of the circulatory system
Diseases of the circulatory system can be classified into:
- Cardiovascular diseases: affect the circulatory vessels and the heart. For example, myocardial infarction, arteriosclerosis, arrhythmias and heart disease.
- Blood diseases: when the alteration of any of the components of the blood occurs. Many of these diseases are due to the malfunction of the red bone marrow, which is where blood cells are formed.
