Types of ecosystems

Ecosystems, depending on where their communities are located, are classified as:

• Terrestrial Ecosystems.

• Aquatic ecosystems.

In some cases, such as beaches or deltas, this classification is not so simple, since living beings are found in both terrestrial and aquatic areas.

Also, due to its peculiarity, one could speak of urban ecosystems.
