4.4.5. Biochemical evidence of evolution

Biochemical evidence of evolution

The biochemical evidences are based on the comparison of different organisms at the molecular level. Comparing molecules such as DNA and proteins, the degree of kinship between two different species can be calculated. The greater the relationship, the more matches your molecules will have.

For example, chimpanzee DNA differs only 1.8% from human DNA, indicating that the two species are closely related.
